Pivinnguaq Mørch: Remarkable stories passed down from generation to generation

Pivinnguaq Mørch (1993, Upernavik) is a writer, poet, and teacher living in Nuuk. He completed postgraduate studies in cultural and social history at the University of Greenland and has participated in archaeological fieldwork in Greenland since 2016. His literary works include Inuusuttut nunatsinni nunarsuarmilu (Young People at Home and in the World, 2013), Arpaatit qaqortut (White Horses, 2015, nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize), Kinaassuseq (Identity, 2018, with Hendrik Mørch), Qaammasluttunsaup Oqa002 (The Moon Shines Oqa002, 2021), and Himlen over Kina (The Sky Above China, 2021). In 2013, Mørch won the first Greenlandic poetry slam held at the Katuaq cultural centre. He is currently an instructor at the Greenland Business School, where he teaches social studies and Greenlandic.
