Pauline Knudsen is an archaeologist and writer. She is the head of the Department of Cultural and Social History at the University of Greenland and the author of the book Arnarulunnguaq (2024), named after an extraordinary Inuit woman who, as the only woman, took part alongside Knud Rasmussen and her relative Miteq in the Fifth Thule Expedition between 1921 and 1924. She travelled 18,000 kilometres by dog sled from Greenland to Alaska. The book offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in this remarkable Arctic expedition.
