Lukáš Cabala: … I immensely enjoyed the whole journey

Born in 1986 in Trenčín. In 2011, he co-founded the online antiquarian bookshop Čierne na bielom. He has published five works of prose Satori v Trenčíne (Satori in Trenčín, 2020), Jar v Jekaterinburgu (Spring in Yekaterinburg, 2021), Spomenieš si na Trenčín? (Do You Remember Trenčín?, 2024), Leto postávalo v horúcom vzduchu (Summer Lingered in the Hot Air, 2025), and Terpentín (Turpentine, 2026), as well as two books for children: Jeseň v lese (Autumn in the Forest, 2023) and Život v malinových horách (Life in the Raspberry Mountains, 2025). “I live that literary world so intensely that it quite naturally drew me to become part of it as an author,” he recalls about his beginnings in literature in an interview for Stastny-usmev.cz. “It was not easy for me at all, and it took years before I managed to write in a way that could interest a publisher, but I enjoyed immensely the whole journey.
