Lotte Maré Christensen: A gift from giants of a stormy coast

Lotte Maré Christensen (1973) was born in Denmark and grew up with her mother in eastern Greenland. She is a journalist and has worked for many years at Greenlandic Broadcasting (KNR). She is also a member of the Greenland Language Council. Lotte gladly speaks Tunumiit (the language of East Greenlanders, the Iivit) and, using the orthography she developed for East Greenlandic, she has already written five volumes of Tunumiit stories. Her books include: Tunersuit tuninutaat (Messages from East Greenlanders), Sunaaffa tupilliarsuaq (Behold, the Terrifying Tupilak!), and Ilimmarluni utinngitsoortoq (The One Who Flew Away and Never Returned).
