Kuluk Helms (1990) is a Danish-Greenlandic poet, actress, performer, and writer whose work explores questions of identity, belonging, and life between two cultures. She grew up in a family with a Greenlandic mother and a Danish father, which strongly shapes her artistic approach. She studied acting and currently works at the Greenland National Theatre. She combines poetry, theatre, and personal storytelling. Among her best-known projects are the authorial performance Uannut Inissaqarpoq – I Belong (Where I Belong) and her poetic debut Min Sjæl Har Vokseværk (My Soul Is Growing with Pain, 2023). Her work is characterised by an intimate, personal tone and an effort to challenge stereotypical notions of identity and cultural belonging. Alongside her artistic work, she is also engaged in academic research focusing on the significance of culture and identity in an Inuit context.
