Konrad Nuka Godtfredsen: At daybreak, a full, powerful explosion is visible at 80 degrees North latitude

Konrad Nuka Godtfredsen (1970, Narsaq) is a Greenlandic illustrator and author who has made a significant mark primarily in the field of comics. In his work, he has long focused on popularising the history of Greenland, especially through an extensive archaeological comic series he began publishing in 2009, in which he presents life in the Arctic over several millennia in an accessible and visually engaging form. These works have been published in multiple languages and have reached both local and international audiences. His comic The Fox: a Tale from Neolithic Shkarat Msaied (The Fox: a Tale from Neolithic Shkarat Msaied), created together with Moritz Kinzel and inspired by archaeological excavations in Jordan, has been widely acclaimed and translated into several languages. In addition to historical comics, he has also created the character Andala, a distinctive anti-hero known from newspaper strips and book editions. His work often combines scholarly knowledge with narrative and image, contributing to a deeper understanding of Greenlandic culture, history, and identity. At the festival, he will present his forthcoming graphic novel Nordpol 2121 (North Pole 2121), set in the future of Greenland.
