Hivshu: The soul knows feeling only when it descends to Earth

Hivshu Peary (Robert E. Peary II.) is a Greenlandic author, storyteller, and drummer of traditional Inuit songs, born in the northernmost settlement in the world, Siorapaluk. He comes from a lineage of Inughuit hunters and shamans and is a descendant of the polar explorer Robert E. Peary. His work draws on the oral tradition of the northern Greenlandic Inughuit and focuses on the connection between human beings and nature, spiritual heritage, and life in the Arctic. He also gained recognition through the documentary The Prize of the Pole, in which he explores his family roots. As a storyteller, he performs around the world (including Prague in 2025), sharing the wisdom of the North with contemporary audiences.
