Elena Pecenová & Lucia L. Fišerová: Chopped asters and the only true month

Elena Pecenová (1994, Pardubice) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the Intermedia studio. She works in visual art and poetry. In 2020 and 2021, she served as editor-in-chief of the magazine Psí víno. She has published the poetry collections Jako bych očima fotografovala stále ty stejné snímky (As if I Were Photographing the Same Images with My Eyes, 2022), Na cestu zpět si zapínám skryté titulky (On the Way Back I Turn on Subtitles, 2023), and Jediný únor je opravdový Měsíc (Only February Is the Real Month, 2026).

Lucia L. Fišerová (1977, Bratislava) studied art history at the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Bratislava. She works as a curator and historian specialising in contemporary photography and teaches at the Photography Studio at Tomas Bata University in Zlín. She is the author of the poetry collection S přesností nasekat astry (To Chop Asters with Precision, 2026).
