Adam Borzič: Small victories of meaning and humanity

Born in 1978 in Prague. He studied theology at the Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University. He is a poet, essayist, journalist, and translator. From 2013 to 2023, he served as editor-in-chief of the biweekly literary magazine Tvar. He made his debut in the collective manifesto publication Fantasía (2008) and has since published more than a dozen books of poetry and essays, including Spiritualita posvátné Země: Divoká cesta spolubytí (The Spirituality of the Sacred Earth: A Wild Path of Coexistence, 2026), Paví logika (Peacock Logic, 2025), _Legendy_ (Legends, 2021), Dějiny nitě: Proti démonům (The History of Thread: Against Demons, 2020), and Šišky za úsvitu se lstivě smějí (Cones Laugh Craftily at Dawn, 2020). “Spirituality also teaches us to perceive light. In every era, there is good, even in our time. We need to consciously recall stories of hope, small victories of meaning and humanity. And we must also realise that, as human beings, we are part of the broader collective wisdom of the Earth.”
