Ryszard Krynicki is among other things a laureate of the Kościelsky Award (1976), Award of A. Jurzykowsky Foundation in New York (1989) and Friedrich Gundolf Award (2000).
"As if by incidentRyszard Krynicki shows his mastery of word, his artistry is nevertheless only means, not aim. He tries to capture the surrounding world in a conscientious way, defining human destiny and searching for meaning. The fact that he also gives the same chances to others by publishing their work in his publishing house only confirms the verity of his selflessness and pure intentions." (Lenka Daňhelová)
