Disturbance, Astonishment, Amazement, Puzzle – and Petr Hruška

 

Poetry must “disturb, astonish, amaze, puzzle and ruin existing aesthetical contentments to create new ones”, says the author of five books of poetry, a literary historian, member of the Czech language Institute (Czech Academy of Sciences) and an university teacher – Petr Hruška. Born on June 7, 1964 in Ostrava. Finished Mining University (majored in treating of mineral resources), Faculty of Arts at Ostrava University, and Czech studies at the Masaryk University in Brno. His debute called Obývací nepokoje was published in 1995. His last book is called Auta vjíždějí do lodí and came out in 2007. Hruška i salso author of  Karel Šiktanc monogramy called Někde tady (2010).

Quo vadis podle Petra Hrušky

Nevím. Cestou nějak ubývá stromů a přibývá strusky. Někdy tam jsou všichni mí drazí a máme krátké ruce. A občas tam je kus nádherné blízkosti, která mizí dříve, než by mohla něco natrvalo zachránit.
