Nine Crafts of Arnošt Goldflam
Born sixty five years ago in Brno, didn’t finish studies on medical school. Was in close touch with “Brno’s Bohemians“ around the demiurge Jan Novák. He studied Brno´s Theatre Academy (majored in Theatre director) between the years 1972–76 . Since then, he has devoted himself to theatre and film acting and directing. He also writes stories, fairytales, dramatic texts and co-works with TV and radio. He published over ten books. His last book is called Standa a dům hrůzy, 2008. Goldflam comments on the book: “…a man can create only out of the material he owns. It is hard to go beyond your own experience and knowledge. I like to take things which I have observed, which I´ve experienced personally, or which were experienced by those close to me.“
Quo vadis podle Arnošta Goldflama
O tom nepřemýšlím, propadl bych zcela malomyslnosti, ke které mám i tak sklony. Já jsem jen rád, dokud můžu být v akci, na cestě, dokud pochoduju. Jsem rád, že můžu pracovat, na čem se mi zlíbí, přemýšlet, o čem chci, reagovat, na co chci, urazit, koho chci, a žertovat, na jaké téma se mi zachce. A taky si občas dopřát luxus smutku nad sebou a vším, a trochu toho defétismu. Odkud jdu, to už se nepamatuju, a kam, to se teprve ukáže, to už by bylo příliš, všechno to vědět předem. Je to tak, jak to má být (když to nemůže být lepší)…
