Premeditation, Expressivensess - Celebration
Born on July 28, 1948 in Prague. Studied chemistry on the Faculty of Sciences at Charles University and then continued working within the studied discipline (Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry ČSAV, Research Institute for Pharmaceutics and Biochemistry, Léčiva, Zentiva). Author of ten books of poetry and prose. His last works are entitled Adepti a Oslava (both published in 2009). Josef Chuchma characterized the second book as “a novel about ´family and other members´, a novel of relationships, of their intimacy and eternal inconceivability, not in the sense of world determined or measured by the author in any way´, but rather of inconceivability ´lived through´“. Apart from literature, he devotes himself to graphic design and painting.

Postoupil jsem za konec cesty. U džbánu se utrhlo ucho. Octl jsem se ve vakuu. Když se ohlédnu či zavzpomínám, s nostalgií si uvědomuji, že dřív jsem měl stále půdu pod nohama a hvězdy nad hlavou, že zem i nebe byly stejné před mnoha lety jako zcela nedávno. Jenomže bez vody, bez vzduchu, bez tepla nemohu existovat. Není pochyb, že se dál nikam nedostanu. Má-li tedy ještě něco být, pak zbývá jedině procházet tutéž cestu až do vakua víckrát. Takto jsem pochopil i sen, ve kterém Mistr radil nežijícímu adeptu.
