Playwright, author of more than twenty theatre pieces (Berlin, ton Danseur est la mort, 1984, Toujours l'Orage, 1997 and others). Prose writer, author of two novels (Le testament de Vénus, 2006 and Surfaces sensibles, 2007). Brilliant text writer, collaborates mainly with saxophone player and prominent jazz composer Jeane-Mark Padovani. Born in 1953, in a small village called "Sos" in southwest France, lives in Lyon, where he teaches creative writing (écritures) at a theatre school. Most of his plays were translated into foreign languages and performed all over the world. There is a Czech mutation of his play Berlíne, ty tančíš se smrtí (translated by Matylda and Michal Lázňovských, 1988). In his opus, the author scrutinizes and anatomizes life energy, which enables people to overcome obstacles. “The subject matter of theatre and arts is the present and future of our species“, the author remarked.
